Explore the Atlas Mountains, Sahara Desert, and the bustling city of Marrekech.


On this North African adventure, girls will explore the mystic desert sands of the Sahara by camel on an overnight, sunset caravan. Once they have arrived at their desert camp they will enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal and sleep under the desert stars. They will also trek to the top of the second highest peak in Africa, Mount Toubkal. This journey offers an incredible hike that will pass by the waterfalls at Ighouliden and through the peaceful valley of Azzaden. After two days of trekking the girls will have stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the Sahara Desert. Other highlights of the trip include shopping and exploring the rich culture of Marrekech and visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, Kasbahs and the incredible Dades Gorge.

Be It

You must be able to tackle steep climbs, hike for several hours, have good balance and trek to an altitude of 13, 600 ft over the course of 3 days.


You must also be able to be comfortable in temperatures over one hundred degrees as we travel in and around the Sahara Desert.


 You must be willing to immerse yourself in an incredible culture of local foods and diverse people, which will be very different from our Western culture.

All technical gear will be provided. You’ll receive a detail packing list upon registration. You will need a passport for this journey.


Additional Details

A $200 deposit will be due immediately upon acceptance to this event. (It's part of the event fee, not in addition to it.) Airfare is not included in this event. You will need to purchase round trip airfare to Marrakech, Morocco via our gateway airport, JFK. Specific flight numbers will be provided when we send out the detailed packet around April 1st.
